New Wallenius system at Nordic Sugar shows good results after the first month of operation.

Efsen Engineering A/S installs Wallenius Water Advanced Oxidation Technology (AOT) at Nordic Sugar in Nakskov, Denmark.

In the spring of 2010 Efsen Engineering A/S installed five Wallenius M900BE AOT reactors for cleaning of cooling tower water without using chemicals.

Wallenius AOT technology is a very effective barrier against legionella, and the energy consumption at Nordic Sugar is as low as 800W. Nordic Sugar Nakskov has totally removed their use of chemicals, making the installation very environmentally friendly, low on operatonal cost and better for the work environment since handling of chemicals is removed.

4 large coolingtowers, with a water volume of approximately 150m3, is producing 24 hours a day from october to january.

The payback time for Nordic Sugar Naksskov on this installation is a bit more than a year due to the high cost of chemicals, and low cost of operation of Wallenius AOT reactors.
